I have seen many faces, I have been many faces.
I saw as a child what grown-ups did wrong, I see as a (sort of) grown up what children were right about. I see that one only can be great by being small, when the interests and desires are not wrapped up in lies, pushed by a society masterbrain. Where the children’s laughter went through the nihilian door, we have found ourselves stuck in a sort of Alice room, not knowing what cookie to eat first, what bottle to sip after. We have found ourselves being huge in comparison with our unattached-to-the-body small heart.
If the ultimate sacrifice would be made; sending away our most precious body part, we would not know better than to give up our brains because the rationalization of desire would not strike ourselves, but a heart frozen since the children’s age.

Meewerkend artiest voor de scenografie naast Vzw Diep Massief (Kortrijk) (http://www.diepmassief.be/) op Menen’s gloednieuw stadsfestival ‘Salto’ (vervanging van het Menense ‘Zomerfestival’) op 11&12juli. Een totaalspektakel geïnspireerd op Melville’s Moby Dick in creatieve samenwerking met Dirk Opstaele (artistiek leider Brussels Ensemble Leporello (http://www.leporello.brussels/)) en cultuurcentrum Cc De Steiger Menen.
Participating artist together with the non-profit organisation ‘Diep Massief’ (Kortrijk)(http://www.diepmassief.be/) for the scenography of Menen’s streettheatrefestival Salto (the new version of Menen’s ‘Summerfestival’). Inspired by Melville’s story of Moby Dick, we launched this all-in one spectacle together with Dirk Opstaele (artistic leader of Ensemble Leporello : http://www.leporello.brussels/ )

SABINE SABINE SABINE
BRAAKLAND/ZHEBILDING
Op onderzoek naar wat gesamtmagie in tekst, beeld en muziek tot een prachtig geheel kan transformeren, kwam ik terecht bij de daverende muziektheatergroep Braakland/Zhebilding, nu in coöperatie met de Queeste ook wel bekend als HET NIEUWSTEDELIJK,.
Als `beeldend stagiair` mocht ik bij de theaterproductie Sabine, Sabine, Sabine mijn intrede doen als fly on the wall met potlood en pen, beeldmateriaal-verzamelend voor het A tot Z theaterverhaal onder leiding van Adriaan Van Aken.
Deze gevoelige indrukweergevende schetsen en tekeningen draaiden samen uit in een kleine expo, meereizend op tijdens de Sabine, Sabine, Sabine – theatertour en gaven het publiek een extra inkijk in het hele creatieproces.
Bedankt Adriaan en de fijne BzB-crew voor deze onvergetelijke ervaring!
